Hi, I’m Hannah
I explore the connection between art, science, and the mind.
Hannah Levin is a painter and sculptor from New York City. Hannah is interested in the intersection of art, science, and the mind. In 2024, graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Cognitive Science, Design Engineering, and Human Computer Interaction. On the side, I’ve been studying painting, drawing, and sculpture at the Art Students League of New York since 2018. After graduating I moved to London where I continued my fine art practice, while expanding into animation and stonecarving.
I explore the connection between art, science, and the the mind. Across each area, I have found that each field brings me back to the other. This leads me to believe the boundaries between these fields are not fixed. I often come back to the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
While I focus on art, I’ve turned my attention to light. Light is critical for visual perception, bridging external stimuli and internal processing. However, light is also a feeling, and many feelings at that. I like to work with light effects as the start and end of each piece, building the foundation and icing the cake.
